Roofing ridge tile pointing is extremely common throughout Perth as there are so many tile roofs here. Old ridge pointing was done with sand and cement with oxide colouring. This old fashioned method was fraught with problems as a roof naturally flexes under wind loads cracking the none flexible old ridge capping pointing compound in a short period of time, leaving the roof susceptible to leaks and loose roof tiles. The new Flexible Ridge Pointing compound we use has been designed to withstand roof movement and lasts much longer than the older none flexible sand and cement pointing compound.
